| Bio: | CHARACTER Full name: Neville Frank Longbottom Age: 18 Date of Birth: 07/30/1980 Blood status: full House:gryffindor Wand: Cherry and Unicorn hair, 11" Sexual orientation: straight Physical Description: second-tallest gryffindor boy (just below dean) at 6'2"; well built though still not extremely fit (broad shouldered and strong but no six-pack in sight); dirty blond hair that has darkened as he's grown older; green/blue eyes; scarred, though none are particularly prominent; though more chiseled than it used to be he still has a rounded face that can, in certain circumstances make him look younger than he is Hobbies: herbology mostly, he likes to hang around the edges of the forest and near the lake looking at the various flora, and with the special permission of Prof. Sprout he has been granted a small portion of one of the greenhouses to start his own 'garden' Likes/Dislikes: Likes: plants, small animals/creatures (for the most part, he still gets a little nervous around cornish pixies...), sweets, being outdoors, the lake, a lot of things really Dislikes: people who suddenly hero worship him (its not so much he dislikes them, but he doesn't like them either), flying, fighting, war, again,i don't wan to go on forever... Quirks: no matter how much he's done with his life he still fells like that little nervous 11 year-old boy whenever he's near his gran; he chews his bottom lip whenever he's thinking about a girl he likes and hates that he does it; due to some injury from the last year that he can't exactly recall, his right knee now makes a popping sound whenever he stands up; he often subconsiously runs his fingers over the scars on his hand or arms when he thinks about the war Fears: one of the remaining lestranges (particularly rodolphous) coming back to 'avange' bellatrix (hurting him OR molly) or trying to 'finish the job' (hurting him or his gran) Mirror of Erised: his parents have been brought back from their current state and remember everything he has told them Patronus: A swan. (I know this seems like a weird choice for Neville but I have my reasons. Mostly its because swans are so often percieved to be far less dangerous then thay really are. People see them and assume that they are docile, harmless creatures, but if they or their families are threatened they get very protective and are very strong fighters (they can break and arm with just their wings). Swans are also very loyal; they mate for life and if their mate dies or is killed they do not mate again (while I do think Neville would probably be somewhat like this romanticly, I'm just considering the loyalty involved in that, like the loyalty he showed towards Dumbledore and to his friends).) As far as how he feels about those months, even he's not so sure. He's still trying to sort through what he's feeling and figure out what his life is going to be like now. Since the war he's been doing very little. He helped re-build his Gran's house, adding on an 'apartment' where he is staying for now, making it so the two only share a kitchen. He's been attending the award ceremonies he's been requested at and accepted his Order or Merlin, Second Class for his work with the DA and during the Final Battle. As soon as he stepped off the stage he handed the award to his Gran with a kiss to the cheek; she has it above her fireplace and Neville suspects she polishes it every day (though he has not been able to catch her more than a few times). He built a few greenhouses in the yard and has a vast vegetable garden in the back where he has spent much of his summer. He hasn't seen any of his friends outside of award ceremonies and memorials since the battle but he has had a few owl communications. He has mixed feelings about returning to Hogwarts. While there was no question when the owl came, he still wonders what the feeling around the school will be like for all those who fought there such a very short time ago. | ||||||||||
